The task is to produce a promotional pack for the release of an album. This incorporates a magazine advertisement, a music promo video and a cover for the DVD / CD digipack.
I intend to use a common theme to link the different elements of the promotional pack together. This technique is used to reinforce an identity to stimulate sales. I will apply the media codes & conventions learnt during my AS coursework designing a dance music magazine. In addition I hope to develop my skills working with Adobe Photoshop and Indesign software.
As part of this exercise I will learn to use Final Cut Pro to produce my music video thereby expanding my knowledge and expertise of different types of media texts.
